LFCISD Dance Arts

The Dance Arts programs at Los Fresnos CISD provide students with an enriching and dynamic experience that fosters creativity, discipline, and self-expression. Through a curriculum that emphasizes technique, choreography, and performance, students develop a strong foundation in various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and folklórico. Our programs offer students opportunities to showcase their artistry through school performances, community events, and competitive experiences at the regional and state levels.

Folklorico

The Folklórico Dance program at Los Fresnos CISD celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Mexican folkloric dance while fostering artistry, discipline, and community pride among students. Rooted in tradition, this program provides students with the opportunity to explore the history, music, and intricate choreography of regional dances from across Mexico. Through rigorous training, students develop technical skills, stage presence, and an appreciation for the cultural significance of each performance.

Dance Team

The STARS Drill Team at Los Fresnos CISD is a prestigious and dynamic dance ensemble that exemplifies precision, spirit, and dedication. As ambassadors of school pride and excellence, the Stars perform at athletic events, pep rallies, parades, and community showcases, bringing energy and artistry to every performance. Through rigorous training in high-kick, jazz, pom, lyrical, prop, hip-hop, military, novelty, and contemporary dance styles, team members develop technical skills, discipline, and teamwork, preparing them for success both on and off the dance floor.
